When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. That’s it.
When you visit the site, our hosting and analytics providers automatically log standard technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages visited. We use this only in aggregate to understand what’s working.
If you buy a digital product, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details directly. We never see or store them.
Email address: to send you the weekly newsletter, the starter kit, and the occasional product announcement. Never more than twice a week.
Analytics data: to figure out which posts are useful and which aren’t, and to fix pages that load slowly or break on your device.
Purchase data: to deliver the product you bought, provide support, and handle refunds.
Many links to third-party tools on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. The affiliate program owner (not us) tracks the click using a cookie.
Affiliate commissions keep this blog free. We only recommend tools we’ve personally used.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
You can request a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing the address below. We’ll respond within 30 days.
If you’re in the EU/UK, you have rights under GDPR. If you’re in California, you have rights under the CCPA. Either way — just email us. We honor all valid requests without making you jump through hoops.
This site is for adults running service businesses. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
If we materially change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and, if the change affects you, send a heads-up email to subscribers.
